EXIT festival, July 2006

Societies Photon Tide from Novi Sad and Lazar Komarčić from Belgrade organized during EXIT06 festival a stage dedicated to genres of fantasy, horror and science fiction. Once again, focus of everyone's attention were the masks and SFX, a number of which were created especially for this occasion. A part of the atmosphere from this happening can be seen in the following photos.

Exhibit held during Beokon garnered much attention!

"The fourth festival Beocon: Around a Star was held in Dom omladine (Youth Centre) in Belgrade from 20 to 22 January 2006. The festival was organized by the society of fantasy fans Lazar Komarčić, and it offered three days of various events - film and literary panel discussions, multimedia exhibitions, movies, etc. - for fans of SF, fantasy and horror to enjoy.

From day one the visitors had the chance to see an exhibition of Miroslav Lakobrija, the most famous special effects master in our country. This unusual exhibition was welcomed enthusiastically as it offered the visitors a chance to see the exhibited work from long and short films Lakobrija made over the last few years, as well as the opportunity to interact with living exhibits “wandering around the dark hallways of Dom omladine, stalking their victims”. The Mummy, Psycho-butcher, Nazi-zombie and other characters from the imagination of Miroslav Lakobrija entertained the guests who sought any chance of being photographed with their favorite monsters.

It is interesting to note that during two nights a selection of thirty short SF and horror films were shown in the Dom omladine movie theatre. Within this film program Miroslav Lakobrija presented his films and collaborations. Miroslav created the special effects for nearly a half of the films shown (The Party of the Living Dead, Über soldat, Hunger, etc.) and also directed a few of them (The Death Tunnel, Reblock and The Patient trilogy)."
